Description: Switchgear Design Engineers with solid experience in designs and applications for standard and customized Low Voltage and Medium Voltage Switchgear equipment sold to Utility, Industrial, and governmental markets in the Electrical Equipment Industry. The successful candidate will be a Team Leader that controls each step of the product design, engineering and manufacturing from inception to completion. The candidate will be able to create, modify switchgear designs and troubleshoot and determine root cause of design or manufacturing problems, review and approve drawings and specifications.
Responsibilities:
- Experience and knowledge of relaying, LV/HV breakers, protective devices, metering and monitoring equipment, SCADA systems and software, substation configuration with transformers, motor controllers.
- Ensure compliance with all Industry Standards.
- Evaluate electrical and mechanical designs for complexity, reliability, and manufacturability.
Requirements:
- 5-7 years of experience in designing and applications low voltage or medium voltage switchgear design, manufacturing, and testing.
- Must have B.S. degree in electrical engineering; M.S. in Electrical Engineering preferred. Experience with AutoCAD or other design software desirable.
- Excellent communications and problem solving skills to provide technical support to manufacturing, marketing, and customers.
Compensation: $75,000 to $85,000 per year depending upon experience. Full benefits package.
