What will you be doing?
The Software Project Engineer (PE) will be responsible for managing the design team for a software development effort. You will guide the team for the full development life cycle from requirements definition through certification. Responsibilities involve leadership of the team, interface with ancillary design groups and coordination with external customer.
What do you need in order to be considered for the job?
AEROSPACE Experience! No exceptions!
Minimum Experience Requirements:
- BSEE
- Embedded, real-time control software development
- Proficiency with ANSI C
- Motor control software development
- Read/understand electronic circuit schematics
- Broad life-cycle experience: requirements analysis through HW/SW integration & test
- BSEE, CE, or ET
Desired Experience:
- SW development for aircraft systems per DO-178B standards
- Digital filter design & implementation
- Use of in-circuit emulators / target system debuggers
- Development for TMS320F2812, or similar target DSP
- Ability to perform initial SW integration with newly designed hardware, utilizing both SW and HW debugging skills
- Systems Engineering
- MATLAB/Simulink
- Electric power generation / distribution
- Development of test scripts for use on ATE / simulator platforms
- Hardware design
- Application of control system theory to closed loop modeling and transformation to digital sampled-data implementations
- Project management skills
- Aerospace experience on prior software development efforts at both technical and project management levels
Salary: $65k – $89k/year; relocation is provided
